For Myself-- just ride as much as you feel is "right", don't kill yourself ;-) and, I am honored to donate to TBShul on your behalf. I'm also happy to be teaching there and to have joined the Congregation, to be able to participate and connect, & get to know the wider community. Thank-you, Rabbi Neil, for your service of the heart (and body, strength & focus), for the benefit of all at this time... May the Cycles and Circles of Wheels and Winds blow your Way, and may the work of your Legs be blessed! :-)

b'vracha, Lia Lynn Rosen Lia haYotzeret (potter.former)https://www.blogger.com/profile/07687915952253314136noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3403018014449038609.post-55955679456740769172016-08-30T20:51:35.649-07:002016-08-30T20:51:35.649-07:00I'm SO glad that the seat is more comfortable ...I'm SO glad that the seat is more comfortable for you! You have suffered so much! I really hope you will end up with a benefit from this process that is more than monetary (though I appreciate that donations help).

As for weight loss, really, I have found that diet management is much more effective than is exercise alone. Drink plenty of water, drink water or fluids before trying to eat when you're hungry, eat only when you're hungry (not at designated times), graze on fruits and vegetables or super foods (greens, nuts, onions, mushrooms, beans, berries, seeds, and spices) if you graze, and keep yourself entertained by things other than food that distract you from being hungry. If you only eat one or two main times a day, a plateful or less of food each time (not including fluids; have as many of those as you like), there is little need to restrict your eating choices at those times. Only, stay away from preservatives and anything artificial! Apparently, those things convert directly into fat. Also, don't personally buy anything unhealthy for your own food supply not provided by others. If you do all this, you can lose 5 pounds a week (or at least I can)!

I hope everything works out for you and that your pain goes away! May your efforts be blessed.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00957525139625072349noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3403018014449038609.post-44088121539200911752016-08-30T15:24:59.093-07:002016-08-30T15:24:59.093-07:00Thanks, MC. The extra padding in the shorts and the new gel seat is SO much more comfortable. Also, it's making me sit differently and I think I may have been sitting badly. But if there is any more pain, I will definitely take your advice. Thanks.Rabbi Neil Amswychhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05066397096800345665noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3403018014449038609.post-5529283458753513812016-08-30T12:08:32.585-07:002016-08-30T12:08:32.585-07:00As a former triathlete and sports therapist, I fee...As a former triathlete and sports therapist, I feel qualified to advise you that taking a break for a few days so that your arse doesn't feel quite so tender will be better for you event in the long run rather than suffering with residue pain on the new seat and replacing it with a mountain saddle!! Get a massage, stretch, do some core work but stay off the bike until you are ready. It will not set you back, it will propel you forwards.Marie-Clairehttp://www.themovementspecialist.co.uknoreply@blogger.com
